Our client is the IT specialist in IT solutions for the healthcare sector. They support hospitals in their digital transformation by offering solutions for all steps of the hospital care chain: from patient admission and billing, care and support, pharmacy, logistics and financial management to business intelligence.

Omschrijving

As Chief Accountant, you will take a leadership role in the Accounting team. You coordinate and organize the various activities of the department to ensure that an optimal and efficient service can be offered. You will also be responsible for various tasks within general accounting and work on various projects. You report directly to the Accounting & Finance Manager who coaches and supports you.

• You will manage the current team of 1 AR and 1 AP accountant.
• You coach your accountant colleagues in the processing of AR and AP and ensure that they operate optimally. You are their backup and provide assistance where needed in the monthly closing of AR/AP accounts.
• You ensure the creation of provisions of expenses.
• You provide reconciliation and justification of accounts, investigate discrepancies and make corrections.
• You are responsible for entering bank statements.
• You enter payroll processing and expense reports and reconcile accounts.
• You process and track fixed assets.
• You are responsible for the monthly preparation, verification of VAT returns on the agreed deadline.
• You prepare the annual corporate tax returns and provide the necessary reports and substantiation.
• You help with various optimization projects (migration S4Hana, integration with Jira, functional testing, e-invoicing, ...).
• You prepare information for internal and external audits.
• In a back-up role, you provide support for various reports, declarations and analyses.
• You provide support for the monthly and annual closing and work closely with the Accounting & Finance Manager.
• In time there are opportunities to expand your tasks and take on more responsibilities in the Accounting & Finance department.

Takenpakket

• You hold a Bachelor of Accountancy/Taxation and have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• You are a real people manager who can motivate and help develop his/her team in terms of hard and soft skills.
• Knowledge of and experience with SAP is required. Experience with S4Hana is a plus.
• You are fluent in MS Office and especially Excel.
• You have a very good knowledge of general and analytical accounting.
• You speak Dutch and French.
• You are numerically minded, proactive, punctual and accurate.
• You have good communication and listening skills.
• You are social, a team player but can also work independently and spontaneously give feedback to colleagues and manager.
• You have good organizational skills, are flexible and stress resistant.
• You have a sense of responsibility when handling confidential data.
